The Calanques of Cassis tour

Bleu Evasion takes you to the Calanques of Cassis tour on afternoon and day trips. The only Calanque belonging to the municipality of Cassis is Port-Miou, but it is customary to refer to En-Vau, Port-Pin, and Port-Miou to represent the Cassidain Calanques. On our full-day tours, you can also explore the Calanques of Devenson, L’Oule, L’Essaïdon, and Saint-Jean de Dieu, or even the Arène Cove in Cassis. The most majestic is, of course, En-Vau. Did you know that because of its dizzying cliffs and crystal-clear water, it is nicknamed the 'Pearl of the Calanques'? We will be sure to show it to you by boat and find a nearby spot suitable for swimming… That is our goal: to see the most beautiful places, but also to enjoy them to the fullest!

Access and mooring: It takes about 50 minutes from Marseille’s Old Port to reach En-Vau, or just 15 minutes departing from Cassis. Mooring is more restricted here than in the Marseille area: it is strictly prohibited in En-Vau and limited in Port-Pin. While Port-Miou offers less interest for anchoring, we have our own secret spots to share with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Expect to pay around €139 per person for a 4.5-hour shared excursion, which includes the skipper, fuel, swimming stops, fins, mask and snorkel, shorty wetsuits, GoPro use, cold drinks, and the Calanques national park tax. At Bleu Évasion, we prioritize small groups or private charters to guarantee a superior quality experience. The price, of course, includes the unique expertise of our skippers.

To see the En-Vau Calanque at its best, the morning is ideal. Due to its towering cliffs, En-Vau quickly falls into shadow by early to mid-afternoon, depending on the season. Departing early allows you to enjoy maximum sun refraction on the turquoise water and often a calmer sea. For lovers of golden light and peaceful atmospheres, our 'Sunset' trips at the end of the day also offer a magical spectacle over the rest of the massif.

The Cassis Calanques (Port-Miou, Port-Pin, En-Vau) offer the best protection against the Mistral thanks to their orientation and the deep casing of their cliffs. At Bleu Évasion, we place your comfort at the top of our priorities: in the event of strong North-West winds, we adapt our logistics and prioritize departures from Cassis. This allows us to sail immediately in calm, sheltered waters, guaranteeing a serene experience and pleasant swimming even when the wind is blowing off the coast of Marseille.

Departing from Marseille offers a much more complete experience, especially since the options departing from Cassis consist exclusively of large passenger transport vessels. You will cross the entire Marseille bay (unless departing from Pointe Rouge) and then the National Park, including the Riou archipelago and the wild Marseille Calanques, which are further from Cassis. Sailing from Marseille allows you to see the landscape evolve progressively, from the offshore islands to the cliffs of Cassis. It is the choice for a truly comprehensive panorama.
